WHERE DID EVERYBODY GO? THE BAND OF MARINES FORUMS HAS, AS OF LATE, SEEN VERY FEW FAMILIAR FACES! WE ASK YOU AS MEMBERS OF THE BAND OF MARINES TO PLEASE LOG ONLINE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK AND POST. ACTIVITY ON THE SITE PRESENTS A GOOD IMAGE TO POTENTIAL RECRUITS WHO MUST VISIT FOR THE FORUMS TO GET SIGNED UP BEFORE THEY BECOME OFFICIAL MEMBERS. IF NO ONE IS ON, IT SHOWS THAT OUR ACTIVITY IS LOW AND NO ONE IS ACTIVE. SO GET TO POSTING, MARINES!
THE BAND OF MARINES IS PROUD TO BE PARTNERS WITH THE INTERNATIONAL SPECIAL OPERATIONS GROUP "TASK FORCE NINER" AND THE FAMOUS FIRST RECONNAISSANCE BATTALION UNITS. TOGETHER WE SHALL HELP IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF TRAINING, COORDINATION, AND COHESION WITH EACH OTHER AND BRING TOGETHER A SCATTERED COMMUNITY OF MILITARY SIMULATION UNITS. LET'S GIVE THESE TWO ORGANIZATIONS A BIG BAND OF MARINES "OORAH!"

Unit Training Empty
PostSubject: Unit Training   Unit Training EmptyFri Aug 20, 2010 6:26 am

Attn. Marines,

After having reviewed the shortcomings of Marines in our unit in the past I have determined that our men do not train enough and need to be trained constantly in order to maintain their combat discipline and cohesion. For now on, all Marines in Alpha Company will undergo constant training.

Fireteam Leaders - Please post a training request (concurrent) for a specific day out of each week for your fireteam to train. Fireteams will train every week for at least two hours on GRAW 2 or Call of Duty 4.

Squad Leaders - Please post a training request (concurrent) for a specific day (that a Fireteam Training session has not been scheduled on) to occur every two weeks. Squads will train together biweekly for at least two hours on GRAW 2 or Call of Duty 4.

Platoon Commanders/Sergeants - Please post a training request (concurrent) for a specific day (that a fireteam or squad session has not been scheduled on) to occur once every month for at least two hours on GRAW 2 or Call of Duty 4.

What do I mean by concurrent? Concurrent means that it, upon posting the day the training shall begin, it will forever be scheduled for that specific day? Confused? Let me show you an example to help clear up and confusion.

EXAMPLE:

You're a fireteam leader and you post a training request for Sunday, August 22nd, 2010, at 1900 EDT. Okay. So for now on, every Sunday at 1900 EDT there will be a training event.

If you're a squad leader and you post a training event on a Wednesday. Okay. So now every other Wednesday you will have a training event.

See where this is going? When you post the Training Request you must post it as "Training Request (Concurrent) in the subject. Be advised: you may post other training requests for additional training exercises if you feel your fireteam or squad needs more training or could use it. However, those will NOT be concurrent. They are additional and not permanent.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to post them below and I or another member of the staff will address them as soon as possible. Thank you.

Semper Fi,

Captain M. Cartwright
Company Commander
