DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY
UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS
HONORABLE DISCHARGE
It is with privilege I wish to thank one of ours,
First Sergeant Cole Novatt, for his long and obedient service to the Band of Marines. First Sergeant Novatt joined the clan at the young age of eleven and has since grown tremendously in his time as a member and prominent Staff Non-Commissioned Officer within the clan. The loss of one of our oldest and finest Young Marine's is shocking, but understandable due to the circumstances which at present surround him.
First Sergeant Novatt has always been the generous and helpful member, providing advice and assistance to those who needed it most. His fondness of the clan has been noted many times in the past and his contributions have been invaluable to the progression of our clan. He was once the leader of our scout sniper school and team when Weathers stepped down from that position.
As reforms occurred, he took on the extra (and arduous) responsibility as the Company First Sergeant. He had since strived to maintain good relations with those in the enlisted ranks. Unfortunately, as life has gotten the better of him, he had been communicating less and less with his subordinates.
Overall, the loss of one of our most experienced SNCO's is felt across our clan and we will forever remember him as a great asset to the clan. He has forever embedded himself into the clan's illustrious history and we hope his replacement will meet the high expectations that First Sergeant Novatt had set.
Given by my hand on the 23rd day of December, 2009, I hereby discharge
Cole Novatt from the service of the
Band of Marines.
