WHERE DID EVERYBODY GO? THE BAND OF MARINES FORUMS HAS, AS OF LATE, SEEN VERY FEW FAMILIAR FACES! WE ASK YOU AS MEMBERS OF THE BAND OF MARINES TO PLEASE LOG ONLINE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK AND POST. ACTIVITY ON THE SITE PRESENTS A GOOD IMAGE TO POTENTIAL RECRUITS WHO MUST VISIT FOR THE FORUMS TO GET SIGNED UP BEFORE THEY BECOME OFFICIAL MEMBERS. IF NO ONE IS ON, IT SHOWS THAT OUR ACTIVITY IS LOW AND NO ONE IS ACTIVE. SO GET TO POSTING, MARINES!
THE BAND OF MARINES IS PROUD TO BE PARTNERS WITH THE INTERNATIONAL SPECIAL OPERATIONS GROUP "TASK FORCE NINER" AND THE FAMOUS FIRST RECONNAISSANCE BATTALION UNITS. TOGETHER WE SHALL HELP IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF TRAINING, COORDINATION, AND COHESION WITH EACH OTHER AND BRING TOGETHER A SCATTERED COMMUNITY OF MILITARY SIMULATION UNITS. LET'S GIVE THESE TWO ORGANIZATIONS A BIG BAND OF MARINES "OORAH!"

First Platoon Training Exercise: Night Ops Empty
PostSubject: First Platoon Training Exercise: Night Ops   First Platoon Training Exercise: Night Ops EmptyThu Aug 26, 2010 10:38 pm

Attn. First Platoon,

Due to what the Staff feels is inexperience in Night Operations, First Platoon will be training in night operations this Sunday at 1900 EDT. The training will last approximately two hours and will involve patrol movements at night, cover and concealment during the night, and friend/foe identification. Afterwards the Marines of First Platoon will do a Combat Exercise at night fighting AI on several maps that are convertible to Night Operations.

Please ensure you clear your schedule in order to be present during the training. It is expected that all members of the Platoon will be present and someone with the ability to host a 14 to 16 person game would be helpful (as there will be more than eight present). Squad Leaders, alert your Fireteam Leaders of the training so that they can pass the word down. Someone also alert the Platoon Sergeant so he is aware and present as well.

Semper Fi,

Captain M. Cartwright
Company Commander

P.S.: I can't wait 'til we get a Company Gunny. He's technically supposed to be scheduling this stuff.
